Fate crashes our illusions
without warning.
Expectations crumble down,
turning life into a roller coaster
of questions with no answers.
Indignation arises from visions
of undeserved wrath and tears,
a multidimensional puzzle
paving our mental prison
with unspoken quarrels,
hatred, and pain.
Like an invisible anchor,
resentment weighs down the present
with acrid relentlessness,
corroding our perception
and our being.
The only way forward is within,
into the darkest corners
of deception
and self-deceit,
changing enemies into teachers
and trials into gifts.
Freedom emerges from forgiveness.
